“This was my first year as volunteer Poppy Appeal Co-ordinator for the area. So I would like to thank all those who helped Dave & I with the appeal last year, although a little chaotic at times as we didn’t know who had what when, hopefully we are now in a much better position for this coming autumn.
Thanks to your generosity, we raised a fantastic £2799.54 in the Hope, Caergwrle & Llanfynydd area.
The Royal British Legion provides financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants, all year round. Nearly 10.5 million people are eligible for their help – that’s 1 in 6 people!
A lot of the Ladies and Gentlemen who used to collect “door to door” with poppies for Remembrance Sunday are now quite elderly or are unable to collect due to ill health. As this is a very worth while charity helping those who have served their country, we need to recruit some younger volunteers for this coming autumn.
So we would like to ask if YOU would be willing to spare just TWO hours, yes, only a couple of hours, to help with the Poppy Appeal. Please note however, collectors must be over 18 years of age.
If you are willing to help please contact Ann & Dave 01978 760062

Or if you would like to order a wreath to remember a loved one, or would like a poppy box for your business or place of work, please also feel free to contact us.”
