Lauren Brown with her mother ClareAIMS
The fund aims to raise £10,000 to purchase beds for parents wishing to stay overnight with their child within the Children’s Ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital

DEDICATED TO LAUREN BROWN’S MEMORY
Lauren Brown sadly passed away in February 2010 following a brave battle with a rare type of bone cancer, known as Ewings Sarcoma. Following her diagnosis in November 2008, Lauren was treated in Wrexham Maelor Hospital’s children’s ward. Lauren’s mother Clare has said “Before Lauren’s passing she was very involved in trying to raise money to benefit the children’s ward at the Maelor.” The fund initially stood at £2,500, and Lauren’s family have now made it their mission to continue Lauren’s efforts and raise a further £10,000 to buy beds for parents at the hospital in Lauren’s memory.

UPDATEAND THANKS
Gloria Rawlinson has been raising money for the fund; after several activities (including coffee morning and prize draw) and donations (including £500 match funding from HBOS/Lloyds Bank Manchester) the current total stands at £1290 and Gloria wishes to thank everyone for their support and generosity.
